Challenge

Sales teams research new target companies by hand: browse maps, open websites, copy names of contact persons, paste everything into a spreadsheet — only to discover that part of the list has been a customer for years. Online lead databases solve this only partially: they cost a recurring fee, often do not know regional businesses and require you to upload your customer list to someone else's servers.

Solution

LeadScout bundles these steps into a desktop application that runs entirely on your Windows PC. You choose a region and a category, LeadScout searches for matching companies via the Google Places API, visits their websites and extracts contact persons — rule-based or LLM-assisted. Results are matched against your existing customer list so no duplicates slip through, and the outcome lands as a finished Excel file on your machine. No server, no account, no database in the cloud.

Why it matters

01

Everything stays on your PC

LeadScout runs without a server and without a cloud account. Apart from the requests to the Google Places API and — if enabled — to the LLM service, no information leaves your machine; your customer list least of all.

02

No duplicates in your pipeline

Matching against your existing customer list flags known companies before they end up as a new lead in the Excel export.

03

Contact persons, not just addresses

LeadScout delivers more than company name and phone number: it extracts contact persons directly from the company website — team pages, imprint, contact pages.

04

One EXE, no installation

A single executable with no Python install, no dependencies and no server to run — launch it and start searching.

Features

Search by region and category

Find companies and offices via the Google Places API by location, radius and business category — with name, address, phone and website.

Website enrichment

LeadScout opens the company website and scans team, contact and imprint pages for contact persons, roles and e-mail addresses.

Rule-based or LLM-assisted

Extraction works with rules and patterns by default; optionally a language model takes over recognising names and roles on unstructured pages.

Customer list matching

Your existing customer list is read locally; companies found are matched and flagged as existing customers instead of appearing as new leads.

Excel export

Results land in a formatted Excel file — ready for CRM import, campaign planning or hand-over to the field sales team.

Your own API key

You store your own Google Places key and keep cost and quota under your control — nothing is routed through a third party.

Desktop interface with preview

A Qt/QML interface with progress display, result list and filters before you export.

How it works

01

Define the target area

Choose region, radius and business category, and load your own customer list.

02

Search companies

LeadScout queries the Google Places API and lists the matches with their basic data.

03

Enrich contacts

For each company, website pages are checked and contact persons extracted; existing customers are flagged.

04

Export

Review the result, filter it and save it as an Excel file.

In practice

LeadScout was built for a sales organisation and is in productive use there: the field sales team uses it to research new target companies per region before planning visits — without the customer list ever leaving the company.

Who it's for

For sales teams, field sales and owners of businesses that want to win new business customers regionally and build their own target lists — instead of paying recurring fees for lead databases or uploading customer data.

Tech & operation

Python with a Qt/QML interface, shipped as a single Windows EXE via PyInstaller. Google Places API for company search, local website analysis with rule-based extraction and optional LLM integration, Excel export — no server, no database, no installation.

Pricing & model

LeadScout is offered as a one-time licence per workstation — no subscription. Google Places API costs run through your own API key and stay in your hands. Early access on request.

FAQ

Which data leaves my machine? +

Only the search requests to the Google Places API (location and category) and — if you enable LLM-assisted extraction — the text content of the respective company website. Your customer list, the results and the Excel exports stay exclusively on your PC.

Do I need my own Google API key? +

Yes. LeadScout uses your own Google Places API key so that cost and quota remain with you and no billing runs through BEYWARE. We support you with the setup.

Is LeadScout available now? +

LeadScout is in early access (beta) and in productive use at a sales organisation. Search, website enrichment, customer matching and Excel export are complete; LLM-assisted extraction and interface details are being refined continuously. If you are interested, we are happy to show LeadScout in a demo.
